The Chihuahua’s history is puzzling and there are many theories surrounding the origin of the breed. Both folklore and archeological finds show that the breed originated in Mexico. The most common and most likely theory is that Chihuahuas are descended from the Techichi, a companion dog favored by the Toltec civilization in Mexico.

I just got a baby Chihuahua mixed with a Pug so she is actually a Chug. She is so cute a very smart. I will post a pic when I can. What a great breed as long as you start training them young. We love my puppy to death and she is probably going to be spoiled in our mostly adult household.
